The AEM 21-806C Performance Cold Air Intake System is engineered to improve throttle response and engine sound by replacing the restrictive factory air box and paper filter. This system is designed, tuned, and dyno-tested to provide a more direct path for airflow, utilizing mandrel-bent aluminum tubing for smooth, unrestricted delivery. The durable gunmetal gray powder-coated finish provides a clean look under the hood while resisting corrosion.
At the heart of the system is an oversized AEM Dryflow synthetic air filter. This oil-free, tapered cylinder filter offers exceptional filtration and can go up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is required, depending on driving conditions. To ensure the engine breathes the coolest air possible, a custom-fit heat shield is included to isolate the filter from engine bay heat. This system is designed to accommodate factory emissions equipment, including the mass air flow (MAF) sensor and PCV hose.
