The aFe Magnum FORCE Stage-2 cold air intake system is engineered to optimize the performance of the E9X BMW M3’s high-revving S65 engine. By replacing the restrictive factory airbox with a precision-designed, rotomolded plastic intake tube and a high-flow Pro 5R filter, this system achieves a documented 41% increase in CFM flow. The smooth-walled tube maintains high air velocity for sharper throttle response and improved horsepower across the power band.
This intake features a heavy-duty, one-piece 16-gauge powder-coated heat shield that isolates the filter from engine bay heat, drawing in cooler, denser air. The system is a direct bolt-on installation that utilizes factory mounting points, requiring no cutting or drilling. The included 360-degree Pro 5R filter uses five layers of progressively finer medical-grade cotton gauze media for maximum airflow and filtration efficiency.
