The aFe POWER Rapid Induction Cold Air Intake System is engineered to eliminate the airflow restrictions of the factory upper intake box. This system features a high-quality, computer-designed intake tube crafted from XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene). This material is chosen for its extreme durability and resistance to heat soak, ensuring a cooler, denser air charge reaches your engine. The tube is dyno-tuned to achieve maximum power gains while maintaining a perfect factory-style fit.
To protect the air charge from engine bay heat, a sturdy 18-gauge steel heat shield is included. Finished in a wrinkle-black powder coat, it snaps onto the top of the factory lower airbox, utilizing existing mounting locations for a hassle-free installation. At the heart of the system is the Pro 5R air filter, featuring five layers of pre-oiled cotton gauze media. This progressive layering allows for maximum flow and high filtration efficiency, even as the filter gets dirty. The Pro 5R is fully washable and reusable using aFe's specialized cleaners.
