This system replaces the restrictive factory intake tract with a high-velocity 3-inch mandrel-bent aluminum tube finished in a durable wrinkle-black powder coating. By smoothing the airflow path from the filter to the turbocharger, this kit helps unlock additional horsepower and torque while improving throttle response.

At the heart of this system is the Pro 5R air filter, a 7-inch tall, 360-degree radial flow filter. It features five layers of progressively finer pre-oiled cotton gauze media designed to provide the highest possible airflow for street and track applications. To protect the intake charge from engine bay heat, afe includes a sturdy 18-gauge steel heat shield that mounts directly to the lower half of the factory airbox, utilizing OEM mounting locations for a simple, no-drill installation.
