The aFe Takeda Momentum Cold Air Intake System is engineered to optimize airflow and reduce intake temperatures for your Mazda. This system replaces the restrictive factory air box with a high-quality, computer-designed intake tube and a sealed XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) housing. The XLPE construction is exceptionally durable and provides superior resistance to engine bay heat soak. A unique clear sight window integrated into the housing allows for quick filter inspections without requiring any tools.
At the heart of this system is the Pro 5R air filter, standing 7-1/2 inches tall with 360-degree radial flow. Its five layers of progressively finer cotton gauze media provide maximum airflow, making it ideal for both street and track applications. The patent-pending filter-to-housing interface reduces part counts and simplifies installation by utilizing factory mounting points and air inlets with no cutting or modifications required.
