The aFe Takeda Momentum cold air intake system is engineered to maximize airflow and filtration for the ND Miata chassis. This system centers around a smooth, one-piece sealed housing constructed from heat-resistant cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) to effectively block performance-robbing engine heat. The innovative design includes a patent-pending filter-to-housing interface that reduces the total number of components for a simpler installation and a large, clear sight window that allows for hassle-free filter inspections without needing to disassemble the housing.
This intake utilizes a 7-1/2 inch tall, 360-degree radial flow air filter featuring oil-free Pro DRY S media. With three layers of progressive synthetic media, it provides high filtration efficiency and dust-holding capacity for street use while eliminating the need for filter oils. The system is completed with a computer-designed, dyno-tuned intake tube for maximum flow and includes premium stainless steel clamps and a silicone coupling for a durable, secure installation to factory mounting points.
