The aFe Takeda Stage-2 cold air intake system is designed to maximize airflow and thermal efficiency for the ND Miata. This system features a one-piece, heat-resistant cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) housing that utilizes the factory air scoop for cool, dense air delivery. A patent-pending filter-to-housing interface reduces the number of components for a streamlined installation, while a built-in clear sight window allows for easy filter inspection without disassembling the housing. The system includes a computer-designed, dyno-tuned intake tube made of durable XLPE to maintain optimal airflow velocity while resisting heat soak.

Included in this kit is the 7-1/2 inch tall Pro 5R air filter. This 360-degree radial flow filter uses five layers of progressively finer cotton gauze media to provide maximum airflow for high-performance street and track applications. The filter’s inverted top increases surface area, extending service intervals between cleanings.
