Fits 2002-2008 Mini Cooper S and JCW models (R52/R53).
The ALTA Tensioner Stop (Non-Adjustable) is a critical safety upgrade for the supercharged R52 and R53 platforms. In the event of a serpentine belt failure, the factory spring-loaded tensioner can swing back with enough force to damage the crank pulley or other engine components. This stop acts as a mechanical limit, catching the tensioner arm before it can cause costly secondary damage.
- Prevents the belt tensioner from striking the crank pulley during belt failure
- Designed specifically for the R52 and R53 supercharged engine layout
- Rugged construction with a fixed, non-adjustable design for simplified installation
- Helps protect the timing cover and accessory drive system
