These high-strength fasteners solve the problem of header leaks and loose hardware caused by the intense thermal cycling of high-performance engines. By replacing standard OE bolts with ARP's 8740 chrome moly steel, you ensure a much higher clamping force and improved durability.
The 134-1102 kit features a 3/8-inch flange hex head design, providing a larger bearing surface to distribute load more evenly across the header flange. This compact head style also offers superior socket clearance, making installation significantly easier in the tight spaces often found between primary tubes and the cylinder head. Each bolt is heat-treated to a 170,000 psi tensile strength rating and finished in black oxide for corrosion resistance.
