The oil pump driveshaft is a critical mechanical link between the engine and its lubrication system. In high-performance or high-RPM applications, factory shafts are a known weak point, prone to twisting or snapping under the load of high-volume pumps or heavy-weight oil. This ARP Specialty Kit (MPN 154-7904) provides the necessary durability to prevent catastrophic engine failure caused by a loss of oil pressure.
