The ARP Main Stud Kit (MPN: 203-5405) is a critical upgrade for high-performance 2JZ-GTE builds, providing the superior clamping force required to prevent main cap walk and maintain precise crankshaft alignment. When increasing boost or horsepower, factory main bolts can stretch and lead to catastrophic bearing failure or block damage; these ARP studs provide a significant increase in tensile strength to secure the bottom end under extreme loads.
Every stud is manufactured from premium 8740 chrome moly steel and heat-treated to a 200,000 psi tensile strength. The threads are rolled after heat-treatment to ensure maximum fatigue life, meeting the tight tolerances required for high-RPM applications.
