The AWE Performance Cat-Back Exhaust for the MK6 GTI is engineered to optimize exhaust gas velocity and backpressure. While 3.0-inch systems can often cause a loss of low-end torque on this platform, AWE utilizes 2.5-inch mandrel-bent tubing to maintain power throughout the rev range. This system is constructed from CNC mandrel-bent 0.065-inch wall T304L stainless steel for maximum durability and corrosion resistance.
Designed for a straightforward installation, the exhaust features multiple slip joints for fine-tuning tip alignment and mates directly to the factory downpipe, ensuring no impact on emissions equipment. The system is finished with dual 102mm double-walled, slash-cut tips in Chrome Silver for a refined, aggressive aesthetic.
