The Bilstein B8 5160 series is engineered as a direct-fit remote reservoir solution for vehicles needing increased cooling capacity and wheel travel. Designed for lifted G-Class applications, these shocks feature a 46mm monotube design that ensures consistent, fade-free performance during off-road use. The remote reservoir significantly increases oil volume for superior heat dissipation under heavy cycling, while the velocity-sensitive digressive valving reacts instantly to surface changes for maximum chassis control.
Each unit is equipped with a 360-degree swivel banjo hose fitting for flexible installation and includes a billet reservoir mount where applicable for a secure, low-profile fitment. This shock is specifically tuned for the weight and dynamics of the Mercedes-Benz W463 chassis to provide a balance of highway comfort and off-road durability.
