The Bilstein B8 5160 (25-311402) is a remote reservoir shock absorber engineered as a direct-fit solution for lifted SUVs and trucks. By utilizing a remote reservoir, this unit provides increased oil capacity and superior heat dissipation, significantly reducing shock fade during aggressive off-road use. The increased cooling capacity and optimized wheel travel ensure consistent performance compared to traditional monotube or twin-tube designs.
Each shock features a 46mm monotube construction and utilizes application-specific, velocity-sensitive digressive valving. This allows the shock to react immediately to surface changes, providing maximum vehicle control and stability. The B8 5160 is equipped with a unique 360-degree swivel banjo hose fitting and a billet reservoir mount for a clean, low-profile installation that clears factory components.
