The Bilstein B6 Performance rear shock absorber is a high-pressure gas monotube damper engineered to optimize the handling characteristics of the Mitsubishi Evo VIII and IX platforms while retaining the factory ride height. Unlike standard twin-tube shocks, the B6 uses a large-diameter 46mm piston and monotube design to provide consistent damping force and superior heat dissipation. This results in enhanced lane stability and grip during spirited driving without the requirement of aftermarket lowering springs.
