The Bilstein B8 Performance Plus front strut is a high-pressure gas monotube damper specifically engineered for drivers who have upgraded to aftermarket lowering springs. Unlike standard OE-replacement struts, the B8 Performance Plus is shortened to maintain proper spring preload and optimized travel on lowered vehicles. This design helps eliminate the bottoming out commonly experienced when using stock-length struts with shorter springs.
Featuring Bilstein’s signature monotube technology and a 36mm piston, this strut provides consistent, fade-free damping by separating the oil and nitrogen gas under high pressure. Each unit is rigorously tested to ensure precise, vehicle-specific ride tuning, delivering a sportier feel and sharper handling response while maintaining the comfort necessary for daily driving.
