The Bilstein B8 5165 Series remote reservoir shock absorber is engineered for custom off-road builds, providing the damping control and heat management required for light trucks and SUVs. This 46mm monotube shock features self-adjusting deflective disc valving (255/70) that reacts instantly to terrain changes, ensuring consistent, fade-free performance in demanding environments.
Designed for versatile installation on custom suspension setups, this shock utilizes 5/8-inch eyelets with durable hourglass bushings on both ends. The external remote reservoir significantly increases oil capacity, facilitating superior heat dissipation and allowing for increased wheel travel compared to standard monotube designs. A unique 360-degree swivel banjo hose fitting allows for a clean, low-profile reservoir mounting solution.
