This BMC high-performance air filter kit (FB550/08) is a direct replacement for the factory cylindrical filters, engineered to increase airflow while providing superior engine protection. Using a multi-layered cotton gauze saturated with low-viscosity oil, these filters capture impurities as small as 7 microns—a significant improvement over the 10-micron filtration standard of OEM paper filters. The filter media is supported by an epoxy-coated alloy mesh, ensuring resistance to fuel fumes and oxidation in high-humidity environments.
Built for durability, BMC filters feature a proprietary single-mold design. This eliminates the welded joints common in other aftermarket filters, preventing potential failure points and ensuring structural integrity under high vacuum. These filters are fully washable and can be restored to peak performance using a BMC regeneration kit.
