The factory S197 Panhard rod is a known weak point, constructed from thin U-shaped stamped steel and soft rubber bushings. Under heavy cornering or acceleration, this assembly deflects, allowing the rear axle to shift laterally. The BMR Suspension PHR005R non-adjustable Panhard rod replaces the OE unit with high-strength 1.25-inch, 0.120-inch wall DOM tubing, providing the rigidity required for street performance, drag racing, and road course use.

Equipped with 95-durometer polyurethane bushings, this rod significantly reduces deflection for more repeatable handling. The bushings feature an internally fluted design to keep grease on the inner sleeve and thrust surfaces even under high compression, ensuring quiet, reliable operation.
