The BorgWarner EFR 7163 B1 Super Core is a high-performance turbocharger assembly designed for rapid transient response and significant power overhead. As a Super Core, this unit includes the compressor cover and the center housing rotating assembly (CHRA), allowing you to select the specific turbine housing that best fits your manifold and A/R requirements. It is an ideal choice for applications demanding the flow of a large turbo with the spool-up characteristics of a much smaller unit.
Built for the rigors of professional racing, the EFR 7163 utilizes a Gamma-Titanium aluminide (Gamma-Ti) turbine wheel, which drastically reduces rotational inertia compared to traditional Inconel wheels. This is supported by a dual ceramic ball bearing cartridge for minimal friction and maximum durability under high boost. The B1 frame size integrates essential components like the compressor recirculation valve (CRV) and boost control solenoid (BCS) directly into the housing to simplify plumbing and improve reliability.
