The Borla S-Type 400497 is a universal, high-performance muffler designed for custom exhaust builds where space is at a premium. Featuring a compact 5-inch round body and a 10-inch length, this muffler utilizes Borla's straight-through, free-flow design to maximize exhaust velocity while providing the aggressive S-Type sound profile. The reversible configuration allows for total installation flexibility in various chassis layouts.
- Material: Constructed from premium T-304 austenitic stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance and durability.
- Build: 100% welded construction with a natural mill finish that can be brushed or polished.
- Acoustics: Packed with high-temperature continuous-filament fiber (CFF) for consistent sound control and longevity.
- Installation: Features notched necks specifically designed for secure clamp-on installation using 1-inch wide band-style clamps (Borla 18325, sold separately).
- Specifications: 2.5-inch inlet and outlet diameters; 5-inch round case; 10-inch body length.
