The Borla 40474 is a universal transverse-flow muffler originally engineered for the GM F-Body Camaro and Firebird chassis, where the unit mounts behind and parallel to the rear axle. Its reversible, transverse design makes it a versatile solution for custom exhaust fabrication on vehicles requiring a space-saving, cross-flow configuration.
Constructed from high-quality T-304 austenitic stainless steel, this muffler is built to resist corrosion and survive the harshest road conditions. The 100% welded case contains high-temperature continuous-filament fiber (CFF) acoustic material to provide sound attenuation without restricting exhaust velocity. The natural mill finish offers a clean look that can be brushed or polished to your preference before installation.
