The Borla XR-1 Multi-Core Racing Muffler (401382) is engineered for high-horsepower competition and street applications where chassis clearance is limited. Often referred to as a "Hot Rod" muffler, its compact 4-inch round body houses Borla’s patented Multi-Core three-tube internal design. This configuration is tested to flow better than straight tubing, ensuring maximum exhaust velocity, horsepower, and torque for demanding builds.
Constructed from 100% welded T-304 stainless steel, this muffler is built to resist corrosion and withstand the extreme heat of racing environments. The interior features high-temperature continuous-filament fiber (CRF) acoustic material for consistent sound control without the packing blowout common in lesser units. The natural mill finish can be left as-is, brushed, or polished to a mirror finish before installation.
