The Clutch Masters FX250 System is engineered for the spirited street enthusiast and weekend racer who requires significantly higher torque capacity without sacrificing the drivability of a full-faced clutch. This kit provides a 110% increase in holding capacity over the factory unit, making it an ideal choice for modified 1.6L turbocharged engines. The system features the Power Plus I Heavy-Duty pressure plate and a specialized dual-friction disc designed to optimize engagement and heat dissipation.
The FX250 disc utilizes Clutch Masters' Fiber Tough friction material on the pressure plate side for durability and smooth engagement, paired with a steel-backed organic friction material on the flywheel side. This combination offers a higher holding capacity than traditional Kevlar faces while maintaining a street-friendly pedal feel. This kit includes a single-mass steel flywheel to replace the heavy factory dual-mass unit, improving throttle response and engine synchronization.
