This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket fits select 2003-2010 Ford Mustang, Explorer, and F-150, as well as Lincoln Aviator and Mercury Mountaineer models equipped with the 4.6L engine. Designed for the left-hand side (LHS), it provides a superior seal for high-output applications without the need for additional sealants.

Constructed from multiple layers of embossed stainless steel, this gasket is engineered to withstand the shearing forces found in both aluminum-to-aluminum and aluminum-to-iron engine configurations. The outer layers are coated with Viton, a heat-resistant fluoroelastomer capable of withstanding temperatures up to 250°C (482°F), ensuring a reliable seal across various surface finishes and load conditions. The stainless steel shim layer allows for precise thickness control while maintaining the ability to rebound and resist corrosion.
