Fits select 2006-2015 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 and Corvette Z06 / 427 models (7.0L).
The Cometic MLS (Multi-Layer Steel) Head Gasket provides superior sealing performance for high-output GM LS7 engines. Designed for 7.0L applications with a 4.150" bore and .051" compressed operating thickness, this gasket eliminates the need for additional sealants while handling the extreme shearing forces common in high-performance engine assemblies. It is an ideal solution for sealing aluminum heads to either aluminum or cast iron blocks.
Each C5889-051 gasket is constructed from multiple embossed layers of stainless steel for increased strength and corrosion resistance. The outer layers are coated with Viton, a fluoroelastomer rubber based material that is heat resistant up to 250°C (482°F). This specialized coating ensures a reliable seal across various load conditions and surface finishes, while the stainless steel center shim allows for precise thickness requirements and excellent rebounding characteristics.
