Fits select 1994-2001 Acura Integra and Honda Civic (VTEC) models. This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket provides maximum sealing performance for high-output engines without the need for additional sealants.
Engineered for performance, this gasket is constructed from multiple embossed layers of stainless steel. The outer layers are coated on both sides with Viton—a fluoroelastomer rubber material heat resistant to 250°C (482°F)—designed to meet the demands of harsh sealing environments and various surface finishes. The MLS design is ideal for both aluminum-to-aluminum and aluminum-to-cast-iron engine configurations, as the stainless steel layers effectively withstand the shearing forces created by different material expansion rates. The center shim layer is uncoated stainless steel, precision-manufactured to reach the specific .040 inch thickness.
