The Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) Head Gasket is engineered to provide maximum sealing performance for high-output Honda D-Series engines. This 75.5mm bore gasket features a multi-layer stainless steel construction that offers superior rebound and corrosion resistance compared to composite gaskets. The design utilizes embossed outer layers coated on both sides with Viton—a fluoroelastomer rubber capable of withstanding temperatures up to 250°C (482°F)—to ensure a reliable seal even in harsh combustion environments.
Ideal for both aluminum-to-aluminum and aluminum-to-iron engine configurations, these gaskets effectively handle the shearing forces caused by differing thermal expansion rates. The MLS design requires less clamp load, which helps minimize bore distortion for better ring seal and overall engine longevity.
