Engineered to handle the increased cylinder pressures and extreme thermal loads of high-performance engines, the Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket provides a superior seal for the Honda F-Series platform. This 87.5mm bore gasket features embossed outer layers coated with a specialized high-temperature fluroelastomer rubber to accommodate various surface finishes and load conditions.
The center shim layer is constructed from uncoated stainless steel, ensuring structural integrity while maintaining a precise .030-inch thickness. Cometic's MLS design requires less clamp load than composite gaskets, effectively reducing bore distortion and improving long-term reliability in both naturally aspirated and forced induction applications.
