The Cometic MLS (Multi-Layer Steel) Head Gasket is engineered for high-output engines requiring a superior seal without the use of additional sealants. Constructed from multiple layers of embossed stainless steel, this gasket provides exceptional strength and the ability to rebound under the extreme pressure of performance applications. The outer layers are coated on both sides with a Viton fluoroelastomer rubber, which is heat resistant up to 250°C (482°F), ensuring a reliable seal against harsh fluids and varying surface finishes.
This gasket is ideal for both aluminum-to-aluminum and aluminum-to-cast-iron engine configurations, as the multi-layer design effectively handles the shearing forces created by different thermal expansion rates. By requiring less clamp load, it helps minimize bore distortion for improved longevity and performance.
