Fits select 1988-2001 Acura Integra, Honda CR-V, and Honda Prelude models during B-series VTEC head conversions. This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is engineered specifically for hybrid "Frankenstein" engine builds using non-VTEC blocks with VTEC cylinder heads.
Constructed from multiple embossed layers of stainless steel, this gasket provides the necessary rebound and corrosion resistance to maintain a reliable seal under high-output conditions. The outer layers are coated on both sides with Viton, a fluoroelastomer rubber capable of withstanding temperatures up to 250°C (482°F). This design requires less clamp load than traditional gaskets, reducing bore distortion and ensuring even load distribution across the sealing surface.
