The Cometic MLS (Multi-Layer Steel) head gasket (MPN: C4481-040) provides maximum sealing performance for the high-output Mazda MZR 2.3L engine. Engineered to withstand the shearing forces between aluminum heads and iron or aluminum blocks, these gaskets utilize multiple layers of embossed stainless steel to maintain a superior seal without the need for additional sealants. The outer layers are finished with a Viton rubber coating, a heat-resistant fluoroelastomer capable of withstanding temperatures up to 250°C (482°F), ensuring durability in harsh sealing environments.
