The Cometic C4233-030 Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is engineered to provide maximum sealing performance for high-output 4G63/T engines. This gasket is constructed from three layers of stainless steel: embossed outer layers coated on both sides with Viton and a central stainless steel shim. This design allows the gasket to withstand the significant shearing forces created when aluminum cylinder heads are mated to cast iron blocks, while also providing the resilience needed to rebound under high cylinder pressures.

Designed for harsh sealing environments, the Viton coating is heat resistant up to 250°C (482°F), ensuring a reliable seal against oil and coolant without the need for additional sealants. The MLS construction improves load distribution across the sealing area and requires less clamp load, which helps reduce bore distortion during installation.
