Fits select 1989-2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse, Galant, Lancer Evolution, and Eagle Talon (4G63/T). This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is engineered to provide maximum sealing performance for high-output engines without the need for additional sealants. The MLS design is particularly effective at managing the shearing forces created by different expansion rates in aluminum heads paired with cast iron or aluminum blocks.
Constructed from multiple layers of embossed stainless steel, this gasket features outer layers coated with Viton, a high-temperature fluoroelastomer rubber. This coating is heat resistant up to 250°C (482°F), ensuring a reliable seal across various load conditions and surface finishes. The stainless steel layers provide superior rebound characteristics and corrosion resistance while requiring less clamp load, which helps minimize bore distortion.
