The Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) Head Gasket is engineered to provide the maximum sealing performance required for high-output 4G63 engines. This gasket is constructed from multiple layers of embossed stainless steel, which provides the necessary strength to resist corrosion and the ability to rebound under heavy cylinder pressures. The outer layers are coated on both sides with Viton, a fluoroelastomer rubber based material heat-resistant to 250°C (482°F), ensuring a reliable seal even in harsh conditions.
Designed for compatibility with both aluminum-to-aluminum and aluminum-to-cast iron block and head combinations, this gasket withstands the shearing forces created by different material expansion rates. Its design requires less clamp load, which helps minimize bore distortion and ensures even load distribution across the sealing surface.
