Engineered for high-output performance, the Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket provides maximum sealing reliability for the Mitsubishi 4G63 engine. This gasket (MPN: C4156-066) features an 86mm bore and a .066-inch compressed thickness. Constructed from multiple layers of embossed stainless steel, it offers superior rebound and corrosion resistance compared to composite alternatives. The multi-layer design is specifically engineered to withstand the shearing forces created by different thermal expansion rates when mating aluminum heads to cast iron blocks.
- Advanced Sealing: Outer layers are embossed and coated on both sides with Viton, a fluoroelastomer rubber material heat resistant to 250°C (482°F).
- Optimized Load: Designed to require less clamp load, which helps minimize bore distortion and ensures even load distribution across the sealing surface.
- Durable Build: Features an uncoated stainless steel center shim layer for precise thickness and increased structural integrity.
