Engineered for high-output Nissan RB26 engines, the Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket provides superior sealing without the need for additional sealants. This gasket features a 0.051-inch compressed operating thickness and an 86mm bore, making it an ideal choice for performance builds utilizing aluminum heads on either aluminum or cast iron blocks.
Constructed from multiple embossed layers of stainless steel, this gasket resists the shearing forces created by different thermal expansion rates between engine components. The outer layers are finished with a Viton rubber coating, a fluoroelastomer material that is heat resistant up to 250°C (482°F) to handle the demands of harsh combustion environments and varying surface finishes.
