Fits 2002-2005 Subaru Impreza WRX (EJ20GN DOHC 16V Turbo). This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS-5) head gasket is engineered to provide a superior seal for high-output turbocharged Subaru engines. Measuring 93mm in bore with a .070" compressed operating thickness, this gasket utilizes five layers of embossed stainless steel to maintain clamping force and resist the shearing loads common between aluminum heads and blocks.
The outer layers are finished with a Viton rubber coating, a fluoroelastomer material that remains stable in temperatures up to 250°C (482°F). This specialized coating allows the gasket to conform to surface irregularities while maintaining a reliable seal without the need for additional sealants. The multi-layer design provides excellent rebound characteristics and corrosion resistance, ensuring long-term durability under harsh combustion conditions.
