Fits select 1993-2004 Ford Mustang, Lincoln Continental, Lincoln Mark VIII, and Mercury Marauder (4.6L).
Engineered to manage the higher pressures developed by performance valve springs, COMP Cams Steel Retainers are a high-strength valvetrain solution. COMP engineers utilize 3D CAD with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to design these retainers with a modern, advanced contoured top profile. This profiling reduces mass and lowers stress points while providing the clearance necessary for increased valve lift.
Every retainer is CNC-machined to exact tolerances from high-grade SAE 4140 chromemoly steel. This lead-free construction ensures maximum durability and reliability for 4.6L 4V engines undergoing valvetrain upgrades.
