The F87 M2 is a formidable track weapon, but the N55 engine is prone to thermal issues that can drive oil temperatures above 280°F, triggering a protective limp mode. The CSF Race-Spec Engine Oil Cooler (MPN 8104) is engineered to maintain optimal operating temperatures even under extreme conditions. During track testing in 103°F ambient heat, this unit successfully kept oil temperatures at a maximum of 240°F.

This performance is achieved through an innovative 2-core in-series system utilizing CSF's AC condenser technology. The primary core features 17 cooling tubes—two more than the factory unit—while a secondary backside cooler adds an additional six rows of cooling capacity. The design uses 26mm multi-channel microtubes and high-density multi-louvered fins to maximize surface area contact. This upgrade also increases total system oil volume by 0.5 quarts, providing a larger thermal reserve.

Installation is a true drop-in fit. The cooler is designed to accept all original equipment components, including factory oil-line connections, mounting brackets, and ducting shrouds, requiring no vehicle modifications.
