This rotor comes fully assembled with a lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum hat bolted to a high-carbon alloyed iron friction ring, significantly reducing unsprung weight for improved handling and suspension response.

The 5000 Series utilizes DBA's patented T3 tri-symmetrical slot design, which features 48 precision CNC-machined slots to increase the number of out-gassing exit points and maintain a clean pad surface. By separating the mounting hat from the friction surface, the 2-piece construction allows the rotor to expand and contract uniformly under extreme heat, preventing the warping and coning often found in one-piece designs during heavy track use.
