DEI Boom Mat Vibration Damping Material is engineered to eliminate road noise, structural vibrations, and panel rattles by converting vibrational energy into low-level heat. This high-performance sound deadener features a multi-layer construction consisting of a thick 4-mil aluminum stiffening top skin and an asphalt-free, pure butyl noise-constraining layer.
Designed for easy installation on vertical or overhead surfaces, the pressure-sensitive adhesive ensures no-snag bonding even in extreme temperature environments. Its flexible nature allows it to conform to irregular floor pans, trunks, and door panels. Because of its high-mass efficiency, effective damping is often achieved with only 25-50% surface coverage, saving material costs and vehicle weight.
