DEI Floor and Tunnel Shield II (50501) is a heavy-duty thermal barrier engineered to block extreme heat from engine compartments, transmission tunnels, and exhaust paths from damaging interior components and electronics. Measuring 21in x 2ft, this 3.5 sq ft shield provides critical protection for fuel cells and floor boards while simultaneously acting as a sound deadener to reduce road and tire noise.

Constructed with an embossed 10 mil aluminum face bonded to a 1/8-inch composite glass-fiber core, this shield reflects radiant heat and withstands direct temperatures up to 1750°F. The high-temperature pressure-sensitive adhesive backing ensures a secure bond to metal, aluminum, carbon fiber, and plastic surfaces at temperatures exceeding 450°F. At only 3/16-inch total thickness, it is easily trimmed and shaped for use in tight-clearance areas such as firewalls and oil tank boxes.
