On Jeep JL and JT platforms, the exhaust crossover pipe runs in close proximity to the transmission pan, causing significant radiant heat transfer into the transmission fluid. The DEI 10375 Transmission Pan Heat Shield provides a dedicated thermal barrier to block this heat soak, helping maintain lower operating temperatures and preserving fluid viscosity for improved performance and component longevity.
This shield features a high-temperature adhesive backing for a secure installation directly onto the transmission pan surface between the pan and the exhaust pipe. It is engineered to withstand harsh under-chassis conditions, providing essential protection during high-load towing or low-speed off-road crawling where airflow is minimal.
