The DEI RFI Shield is engineered to suppress Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) generated by high-voltage ignition systems and wiring. By creating a protective barrier, it prevents electronic noise from disrupting sensitive computer systems, electronic fuel injection (EFI) signals, and audio components. This allows the ECU to maintain precise fuel delivery and optimal engine performance without interference-related signal degradation.
The shielding tape features a non-adhesive design, allowing it to be wrapped around existing harnesses without disconnecting wiring or depinning connectors. It is highly effective for bundling wiring sets larger than 1 inch in diameter. Each kit includes a dedicated 17.5-inch grounding strap to properly drain interference to the chassis and DEI Quick Fix Silicone Tape to provide a permanent, heat-resistant seal at the ends of the sleeve.
