The DEI Titanium Turbo Shield (10148) is engineered to isolate the extreme heat generated by T25 and T28 turbochargers, protecting underhood components while improving performance. By retaining thermal energy within the turbine housing, this shield increases exhaust gas velocity to help the turbo spool faster and reduce lag. Built using DEI’s proprietary LR Technology, this shield is designed to withstand 1800°F direct heat and up to 2500°F radiant heat.
Constructed for durability in high-horsepower applications, the shield features a high-temperature silica insulation layer protected by a rugged outer layer with a carbon fiber-style finish. Double-reinforced seams and integrated riveted anchors ensure the shield remains secure under heavy vibration and heat cycling, preventing damage to painted hoods and sensitive electronics.
