Engineered specifically for T4 turbochargers, this thermal barrier keeps heat concentrated within the turbine housing. This helps maintain higher exhaust gas velocities for faster spooling and reduced turbo lag while protecting sensitive engine bay components, painted surfaces, and carbon fiber hoods from radiant heat damage.

Constructed using proprietary LR Technology, the shield features a high-temperature rated silica insulation layer under a durable, tight-weave titanium outer shell. It is designed to withstand 1,800°F of direct continuous heat and up to 2,500°F of radiant heat. To handle the thermal expansion and vibration of high-performance applications, DEI includes true riveted anchors and double-reinforced seams on both the interior and exterior.
