The Eaton Detroit Truetrac is a helical-gear style, limited-slip differential designed to provide smooth, automatic traction on demand. Unlike traditional clutch-style LSDs, the Truetrac uses a gear-based system that requires no friction modifiers and has no clutches to wear out or replace. This makes it a maintenance-free solution for improving acceleration and handling in both on-road and off-road conditions.
This unit engages automatically when it senses wheel slip, transferring torque to the tire with the most grip. It operates quietly and remains transparent during normal driving while providing significant traction benefits in forward and reverse.
