EBC Brakes Redstuff Ceramic brake pads are engineered as a high-friction, low-dust upgrade for spirited street driving and premium passenger vehicles. This synthetic fiber-based compound is enhanced with ceramic particles to provide a significant reduction in brake dust—typically between 60% and 90% compared to standard semi-metallic pads. The resulting dust is non-metallic, making it easier to clean from alloy wheels without specialized chemicals.
These pads offer a nominal friction coefficient of 0.5 and maintain strong cold-bite performance while resisting heat fade during repeated heavy braking. Each pad features the EBC Brake-In surface coating, which helps condition the rotor surface and accelerates the bed-in process. Note that due to the hard-wearing nature of the ceramic material, full bed-in can take up to 1,000 miles to achieve perfect rotor contact.
