EBC Brakes Redstuff Ceramic pads are engineered as a premium upgrade for high-performance street cars and heavy sedans. This synthetic fiber-based compound is enhanced with ceramic particles to deliver a high 0.5 nominal friction coefficient, providing significant stopping power from cold while resisting heat fade during repeated heavy braking. One of the primary advantages of the Redstuff compound is its low-dust profile, reducing visible brake dust by 60-90% compared to semi-metallic pads. Because the material contains no steel fibers, the minimal dust produced is non-abrasive and easily cleaned with a simple sponge wash.

Each pad features EBC’s proprietary “Brake-In” surface coating, which conditions the rotor surface and accelerates the initial bed-in process. Given the hard-wearing nature of this ceramic compound, drivers should allow for a bed-in period of up to 1,000 miles for the pads to fully conform to the rotor shape.
